Lake Nakuru National Park Day Tour

Lake Nakuru National Park is renowned as a bird lover’s paradise. Originally protected as a bird sanctuary, this park hosts over 400 bird species

This park was also the first national Rhino sanctuary and hosts one of the world’s highest concentrations of the Black Rhinoceros. Its  located 156 km northwest of Nairobi and the main gate is 4 kilometers from Nakuru town   Centre.

Our Day Tour departs from Nairobi at 06:00 A.m. through Nairobi –Nakuru highway. you will have a great view of the Rift Valley and the scenery

A stop at a viewpoint gives us great opportunities to take pictures of the Great Rift Valley and spectacular view of the volcanoes Suswa and Longonot.

On arrival at Nakuru National Park, we proceed on a game drive where you are guaranteed to see: White Rhinos, African Buffalos, Rothschild Giraffes, Zebras, Impalas, Olive Baboons, Vervet Monkeys and Waterbucks.

The park is a bird sanctuary with a variety of water -birds including Yellow-billed Pelicans, Marabou Storks, Hammerkops, Fish Eagles, etc.

This park is famous for the flocks of Greater and Lesser Flamingos that gather around the lake,

Picnic lunch at the Baboon Cliff viewpoint as we enjoy views of Lake Nakuru. Later we proceed on another game drive as we exit the park and drive back to Nairobi to arrive at 1830 Hours

 0600 Hours: Pick-up and depart Nairobi for Nakuru National Park

1000 Hours: Arrive at the Nakuru National park and proceed for a two-hour game drive

1230 Hours: Enjoy Picnic lunch at the Baboon Cliff picnic site

1330 Hours: Enjoy Tea /coffee

1400 Hours: Depart for a game drive

1600 Hours: Depart for Nairobi by Road
